If you are a female golfer in the Class of 2026 still looking for the right college program, this is an opportunity worth knowing about.

Suffolk University, located in the heart of downtown Boston, Massachusetts, is actively looking to add 2 to 3 women to their roster for the fall of 2026. Head Coach Jay Parker reached out to College Golf Drive directly — and this is exactly the kind of opportunity we exist to connect families with.

About Suffolk University Women’s Golf

This is not just any D3 program. Suffolk’s women’s golf team has become one of the most competitive in New England in a very short time.

Founded in 2016 by Head Coach Jay Parker, the program has grown from scratch into a legitimate national contender. In just ten seasons Coach Parker has built a program that has qualified for both the 2024 and 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships — competing at the national level twice in program history. Most recently, Suffolk captured the inaugural Conference of New England (CNE) Women’s Golf Championship title, with Coach Parker named CNE Coach of the Year.

The team competes in the Conference of New England and has established itself as the conference’s top program. Three Rams earned All-CNE distinction this past season, reflecting the depth and talent Coach Parker has assembled.

Why Boston?

Suffolk University’s location is one of its strongest selling points. Situated in downtown Boston, students have access to one of the greatest college cities in the United States — a hub for internships, networking, career opportunities, and culture. With over 100 undergraduate, graduate, and law programs across their Business, Arts and Science, and Law schools, academic options are extensive.

For a student athlete who wants a competitive golf program AND a world-class urban college experience, Suffolk checks both boxes.

What Coach Parker is Looking For

Coach Jay Parker is looking for 2 to 3 women from the Class of 2026 to join the program for the fall semester. If you are a competitive female golfer who:

  • Graduated in 2026 or is still finalizing your college plans
  • Is interested in playing at the D3 level in a winning program
  • Wants to experience college life in downtown Boston
  • Is serious about both your golf game and your academics

This could be the perfect fit.

Why D3 Golf Makes Sense in 2026

With D1 programs now limited to nine roster spots and the Transfer Portal taking many of those spots, D3 programs like Suffolk represent a genuine opportunity to compete, develop, and thrive at the collegiate level.

At D3, there are no athletic scholarships — but that does not mean it is not financially accessible. Suffolk offers extensive need-based and merit-based financial aid. Many students find that the combination of academic scholarships and financial aid makes D3 programs extremely competitive in terms of total cost.

And the golf experience is real. Suffolk just competed at the 2026 NCAA DIII Championships — that is national-level competition at a program that has been built the right way.
